I don’t remember seeing anywhere in the specs, prior to purchase, that this is a UHF only antenna, but it’s box says just that. I put the old antenna back up but the reception still sucks, we live in the hills and can’t get ABC or any of the VHF PBS channels, no matter what we try (we are contemplating an outdoor roof antenna). I’m disappointed with this whole conversion thing, people shouldn’t be forced to pay for a viable signal. I will watch the shows I want on the internet.

Compared side-by-side, I get better reception from a dopey RCA square UHF loop. This antenna is definitely not worth purchasing.

I live in a densely populated urban area. This antenna picks up a little over 50 digital channels in mixed Standard and High Definition. Antennas are very simple and in my case I only really need to pick up channels coming from one direction. I’ve owned one of these for almost five years using it in various metro areas with a variety of tuners and I’ve always gotten great results. I just bought another recently for a friend.

Just another piece of junk made by phillips. Everything I buy that is some how related to Phillips it breaks, doesn’t work, doesn’t last, and just over cheaply made… Is it says Phillips on it make another choice….
