I know Dish Network has them, but the DIRECTV receiver is so much smaller, and I can’t find any component av cable inputs.
I meant outputs.
For example, if you have DIRECTV and a PS3, how can you hook them up to play the PS3 on your TV?

My dad recently left DirecTV. He still has the HD dish mounted on the roof of his house. I’m a current DirecTV subscriber. In the fall, I’m taking an RV up to Penn State for a football game. The RV is equipped with a television. Can I get a signal with one of my receivers and his dish? If that’s possible, does it matter if the receiver I take is a standard definition one even if the dish is equipped to handle an HD signal? Many thanks!

as far as using your dads old dish with your receiver, that is no problem.

but using your receiver on the road…i’m not too sure how that works.

does your receiver at home stay hooked up to the telephone line?

i think if it does not it might work on the road.

i think the telephone line hookup is mainly for initial hookup and pay-per-view watching.
