My antenna is attached to my house. Sometimes it doesn’t get the best reception. I just wondered what else I could do to “beef it up” a little, or something. Maybe put it on a pole? Or, is there a better antenna on the market?

Go to antennaweb.com. You can find what type of antenna will work best. I use a multidirectional antenna that gets stations 50 miles away with no problem.

So I have an antenna mounted in the attic and will be running a coaxial cable down to a digital converter box, then to a TV. What is the best type of coaxial cable to buy?

RG-11 is theoretically the best, but it is significantly more expensive than RG-6. For 50-60 feet, RG-6 should do the job just fine; with such lengths the difference in loss in the cable is negligible between RG-6 and RG-11.
